Nozomi Kune Tutumi Bag
Nozomi Kume' TUTUMI BAG, is inspired by the Japanese way of wrapping called Furoshiki (referring to the way the folds in the fabric hang)and the Japanese word for "wrapping" (Tutumi). In Japanese, the word Tutumi (‘包) is made up of two figures; one is a womb (勹 ), another is an unborn baby (己).
Nozomi combines both these ideas from a philosophical and functional sene to create her very own process of wrapping.
It is hard to imagine that a circle will be a bag at first sight but with a twist and zip this circle is transformed. After use it can be transformed back into a circle then hung on a wall as a decoration next to a painting.
