David Steinhorst has been developing his sense of zipper design for several seasons since graduating with an MA in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins, London. David’s zipper inspired collections have won him international recognition. A Winner of the, Harrods Design Award and the prestigious, ITS#SEVEN Fashion Collection of the Year Award, are two prestigious accolades he has picked up in recent seasons.

For his latest collection David teamed up YKK for fastening support and to learn how to give his zipper designs a new twist. YKK provided David with special access to their research facilities to discuss new developments and techniques in the production of zippers.

According to David, the whole experience has “led to a more refined process, with zippers developing their own dynamic within the collection, giving my raw idea a new twist.”..
